Heritage day

This Saturday, was the heritage day in town, and 6 historic places were open to public.

We can definitely not compare this to the historic monuments day in France. While Moncton city was officially founded in 1766, no edifice remain from those early days. However, we visited two of them, the Peters House (1905), which is now hosting the YWCA and the First Moncton United Baptist Church, erected in 1915, with its organ and original baptismal fonts. Thanks to the heritage preservation board team, this day exists, this is a nice cultural initiative indeed.

Pumpkins-head Riverview guys and a huge soup bowl nearby...
